What's a launcher?

It's the part of your phone you see the most: the Home screen with your apps, widgets and wallpaper. Every time you unlock your phone, the launcher shows you your apps and takes you where you want to go.

Changing launcher doesn't change what your phone can do. It changes how it looks and how you use it: where your apps live, what they look like, how you find them. Comet makes all of this cleaner, tidier and more yours.

Why Comet?

Some launchers bury you in options, menus and effects until your phone feels more complicated than before. Others are so bare you can barely change anything.

Comet sits in between. It looks polished from the first launch, and when you want to make it yours, a few taps are enough: wallpaper, icons, clock, layout.

The idea is simple: pick up your phone and use it, without thinking about how the launcher works.

Fast, first of all.

Comet scrolls as smoothly as stock Android. It recognizes your phone and tones down effects when needed: if something doesn't help you, it isn't there.

Frequently asked questions

Is Comet free?

Yes, free and ad-free. There are no in-app purchases.

Why isn't it on the Play Store?

For now Comet can only be downloaded from this site. Installing an APK is legal and safe if you get it from the official source and check its fingerprint.

Which phones does it work on?

Android 8.0 or later. On less powerful phones Comet automatically reduces effects to stay smooth.

Can I go back to my old launcher?

Yes: Android Settings, Default apps, Home app, and pick another launcher. You can also uninstall Comet like any app.

Does Comet collect my data?

No. The only network requests are for weather (Open-Meteo) and for web searches you make yourself.
